Business Website Hosting Reviews: What you need to know.

When it comes to business website hosting reviews, you can’t be too careful. This will be the engine that drives your business forward. I’ve tried to do some of the leg work for you. Making an informed decision could potentially be the very one that determines your success.

Business Website Hosting Reviews

What are the qualities that you need to look for when choosing your business website host? Several things in fact. Let’s go over what some of those are.

The first thing that you should look at is “hidden costs”. Many website hosts sounds like a good deal on the surface but in the end you end up paying for their flashy advertising in a hundred different ways.

Secondly, you will want 24 hour available support. Several companies out there say they do, however it is usually the next day or sometimes even later before they get back to you.

Third is the interface. Is it easy to use? How long does it take you to do something? Time is money so the easier the interface the better. You want to get your information out a swiftly as possible right?

Last you should look at how big the bandwidth is. This will determine how fast your pages load. It is important to remember that our websites are geared for the people we are trying to reach. Chances are  that if your page takes too long to load, they will just move on to the next one.

Frustrated Computer User

Below I have compiled a list of pros and cons for several different web hosting platforms. Hopefully this will help you make an informed decision. I wish I had reviews when I first started my search. Unfortunately I had to learn through several different, and not all good experiences.

Go Daddy Vs. Host Gator Vs. Wealthy Affiliate. To the victor be the spoils!

Lets take a look with a side by side comparison and that I mean breaking down stats and user experience.

Go Daddy Pros

  • Big Name Solid Company.
  • Lots of Bandwidth
  • Fast Load Times
  • Appealing Themes

Go Daddy Cons

  • Extremely Frustrating Interface.
  • Hard to Understand Analytics
  • Hidden Fees
  • Spammy Upselling
  • At $139/month for hosting, it’s expensive and not the best

GodaddyMy overall rating is a whopping 2.75 out of 5. My reasoning? Personal experience. I saw the commercials bought in and signed up. After error messages I could never fix or figure out I eventually gave up. Add to that the fees that seemed to keep piling up for everything and I was sold to never go that route again. Sure they spend a lot on advertising, but they have to pay for that advertising as well.

Host Gator Pros

  • One of the Most Inexpensive Basic Hosting Services Out There.
  • Bandwidth Size is Unlimited
  • 99.9 Uptime Guarantee
  • 24 Hour Support
  • Many options from $3.96/mo to $374.00/mo

Host Gator Cons

  • LOTS of Hidden Upsells
  • To Take Full Control of Something that Should Be Yours to Start With Starts at 105$ a Month!
  • No Step by Step Processes to Assist You in the Creation of Your Website
  • Lack of Insight into What You Are Actually Receiving Until You’ve Already Purchased it.
  • Your website will run slowly with the inexpensive hosting

Overall rating for Host Gator is much better than Go Daddy. Reaching a 3.5 out of 5 stars, Host Gator is stiff competition for many others in the game. However I really do not like the lack of full control over my website. It seems to me that is what I’m paying for to start with. While it is less expensive when compared to some, if you want it all…It’s going to cost you. Even if you choose the least expensive plan that hosts only one domain, you will end up spending $182.50 up front.

Wealthy Affiliate Pros

  • 24 Hour Support and Community Complete With Training
  • A 10 day FREE Test Drive of All Offered Features
  • No Hidden Fees or Tricky Upsells
  • Proven Method of Duplication That Ensures Google Rankings
  • Only $47/month or $359/year for the best hosting service for unlimited domains

Wealthy Affiliate Cons

  • Slightly more than Host Gator
  • Training is Extensive So Takes Dedication to the System

As you can probably tell by the short list there that I am a big fan of Wealthy Affiliate as your web Wealthy Affiliatehosting company. They get a strong 4.5 out of 5. For the money it is the best value on the web. A year of hosting costs roughly 360$ However the sheer value you receive is incredible for that price. You now have the ability to not only host your website but any additional sites for FREE. That in itself holds incredible value.

Not only do you gain the ability to host multiple sites for free, but you now have access to a community of individuals who are on the same journey you are. That help and assistance combined with their training regimen effectively put you on the path to success.

The tool that Wealthy Affiliate uses to get your site ranking on the first page of Google results is incredible. Gone are the days of hit and miss keywords and keyword stuffing. Google has gotten smart and it seems that Wealthy Affiliate has kept pace. Updated trainings are being continuously added keeping you abreast of any changes.

  1. Excellent post! I use GoDaddy for my domain names and Wealthy Affiliate for hosting… but like you say, the hosting is the least of it at WA (a solid hosting platform for sure), but it’s the ton of training you get AS WELL as the training that is more than worth the cost!

I really hope people new to this business find this article because it will help them heaps!

  2. Hi Russell,

There’s one point in particular that I think you’re absolutely spot on about, which is the need for 24/7 _available_ support. If you run into any issue, you want it resolved *immediately*.

As the saying goes; time is money. The longer you have to wait, the less time remains to actually work on earning some serious money.

    Thanks for this article!

  3. Great post,

I use WA for my hosting as well and all that is included within this group. Beats having to search all over the internet to pool all those resources, never a dull moment in this community.

    Best of luck.

  4. Very informative. I like how you did the comparison. Definitely sold me on Wealthy Affiliate!

“It is important to remember that our websites are geared for the people we are trying to reach. Chances are that if your page takes too long to load, they will just move on to the next one.” – So true. This is prob one of the more vital elements required of a host which people overlook

  5. Websites and the hosting they are on form the basic building blocks of any business online and it needs to be right. This article certainly covers this effectively. Thankyou for sharing this with us :)

    • Completely agreed. Without the basic building blocks you will likely find yourself floundering around with little direction and will wind up tearing your hair out in frustration

  6. I enjoyed your post. It is a plus to see the various reviews. When beginning internet marketing, most often the user is led blindly to the hosting source suggested by the base company not knowing that there are other hosting providers that can be used.
